Welcome to the home page for NGOLD's 2015 Nonprofit Technology Showcase! NGOLD has partnered up with non-profits within Dekalb in the hope to better utilize technology in the pursuit of a stronger community. On this site you will be able to get a snapshot of each team, look into the agenda for the event, and contact us with any relevant questions. We hope you join us for this exciting and impactful experience.
Center for NGO Leadership and Development
NGOLD is NIU's Center for Nongovernmental Organization Leadership and Development. Through four distinct areas, NGOLD attempts to strengthen the nonprofit sector: Academic, Service, Research, and enchanced practice. NGOLD offers an undergraduate major and certificate in Community Leadership and Civic Engagement (CLCE) that prepares students for challenging and rewarding careers in the non-profit sector.
What are we showcasing?
NIU ClCE students have formed teams and partnered up with several non-profit organizations in Dekalb. Students have worked with organization employees on semester long technology projects focused on individual organizational needs. The show case is an opportunity for the projects to be put on display, while the students present and field atendee questions.
